A man identified as Bryan Martínez, 31 years old, was arrested by elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) after being accused of assaulting and sexually abusing a young woman in the streets of the Iztapalapa borough in Mexico City (CDMX).
According to reports from journalist Antonio Nieto, the subject, presumably a barber, allegedly committed the attack after finishing his work shift at a barbershop in the area. He threatened the victim, robbed her of her belongings, beat her, and subsequently sexually abused her. Thanks to the swift intervention of the SSC, the attacker was apprehended shortly thereafter.
During the review of his background, authorities confirmed that Bryan Martínez had been in prison before, making this his second entry into the penitentiary system.
According to the circulated version, Martínez did not have any money and reportedly decided to commit a crime to buy drugs. The events occurred in the streets of the Apatlaco neighborhood, where the attacker allegedly intercepted his victim using a replica of a firearm, hitting her and violating her.
"This will be his second time in prison," the journalist mentioned on social media, accompanying the message with an image of the assailant.
